Delete your Doggo account
Delete your account from inside the app
This is the fastest way, and it removes everything immediately. It works on both Android and iOS.
- Open the Doggo app and make sure you are signed in.
- On the map screen, tap your dog in the bottom bar to open My Pack.
- Tap the … (more) button in the top-right corner, then tap Settings.
- Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- Read the summary, tap Delete my account, then confirm in the alert.
Your account and data are erased straight away and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
Delete your account by email
If you cannot sign in or cannot reach the screen above, email 0xpaulius@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Doggo account”. Tell us your dog’s name so we can confirm we are deleting the right account.
We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and reply to confirm within 30 days (usually within a few days).
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases all of the following:
- Your account and sign-in records (Google or Apple sign-in link, sessions, tokens) and your email address
- Your dog profiles, dog photos and cover photos, and your owner photo
- Your app preferences and onboarding answers
- Your saved spots, wishlists and collections
- Your paw ratings, reviews and check-ins
- Your posts, journal entries, photos and comments
- Photos you added to places
- Your walks, walk routes, distances and walk photos
- Your friends, friend requests and blocks
- Reports you filed about other content
Files stored for you (photos and images) are deleted from our file storage at the same time as the database records.
What is kept, and for how long
- Safety records — reports and moderation flags filed by other users about your content are kept as an anonymised safety record, so that reports about still-active accounts are not lost. They no longer identify you. Retained for up to 2 years.
- Purchase and subscription records — if you bought a Doggo subscription, the transaction records held by Google Play, Apple and our billing provider (RevenueCat) are retained for tax and accounting purposes as required by law, typically up to 7 years. Cancel a subscription in the Google Play or App Store subscription settings; deleting your Doggo account does not cancel it.
- Encrypted backups — copies of your data may remain in our provider’s encrypted backups for a short period after deletion and are overwritten within 30 days.
Nothing else is retained. We do not keep a shadow copy of your profile, posts, photos or walks.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole Doggo account to remove data. You can delete individual posts and journal entries, comments, photos you added to places, saved spots and collections, and dog profiles from inside the app — open the item, tap the … (more) button on it, and choose Delete.
Request a data deletion by email
For anything you cannot remove yourself:
- Email 0xpaulius@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.
- Use the subject “Delete some of my Doggo data”.
- Tell us your dog’s name, and describe which data you want deleted (for example your walk history, your photos, or your reviews).
We will confirm your identity, delete what you asked for, and reply to confirm within 30 days. Your account stays active and you keep everything you did not ask us to remove.
The retention rules above apply to partial deletions too: safety records are kept for up to 2 years, billing records for up to 7 years, and encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
